The image was constructed by inquiring how real are the conceptions I have about myself, and the world, considering that formal education has been mostly credited to men. The piece "Representation" is a figurative abstract that contrasts the concept of being with the thought of Aristotle, Husserl and Heidegger. For Aristotle transcendental being is the first substance of the unchanging being". For Husserl being is constituted from the rational subject. According to Heidegger Aristotle left aside the sense of being, for "the question". In this sense the interpretations "of being" cited, give rise to a questioning about "being" based on the woman's perspective.
The visual narrative of “LOST CITIES” is about the physical and symbolic space, which leads to the exodus that the inhabitants experience when cities are lost. Metropolis can be uprooted from the ground that supports them, but they remain within biographical stories, in dreams, in memories, although their figure is transformed as time retouches the memory. The image alludes to the mark that the city leaves on everyone, affecting its inhabitants differently. They remain as a mental image in the natives who must abandon their land and resort to it in memory and longing.
Homage to Barnett Newman: Cry of color, is a work that arises from the need to experience the solidity of absolute color. Allegorically, color cries and mutes the undulating shadows of a spectral paradise, it remains in an opening the testimony of movement, the change of colors, the emotion, to be encapsulated in a blue that tends towards purple. Barnett Newman wielded the way of the form and the color, I travel it with pleasure adding to his search.
